The only closest designed piece I've done this year to put on here. XD Thats real life for you.

I've been giving some time and effort working in Adobe Illustrator as I feel Photoshop doesn't really cut it for me anymore. Don't get me wrong, Photoshop is a brilliant piece of software, but as its name states, its more for photos...not design as such.

So with that stated, I've created a picture diagram showing the evolvement of design from sketch to final. (This ain't a tutorial of how I draw my character btw, just to make sure you all know that).

1. The original sketch outlines, simply drawn onto plain white A4 and drawn with a standard HB pencil.

2. Outlines are re-drawn in Illustrator, converted to different pint sizes of brush and created using the pen tool. A new brush tool was also created for the more finer points in detail.

3. Colour flats are added using the swatches palette in Illustrator, bringing the piece more to life as such.

4. Final details are added along with shading. This was simply applied by pin pointing out where light would be shown and darkening in areas for a more believable likeness of design.

Just to note, this I believe is the 8th re-design of Jdogg. I honestly cannot keep satisfied with one final design.
